Prose/Poetry Reading
This event qualifies for the OHSSL, but not the NFL.
Prose/Poetry is unique in several ways. First, it is the only event that allows reading from a script. Second, it does not use original material, but speakers cut previously published material from several sources and cobble those pieces together into a original script. What follows is best described as "performative reading." Consider Prose/Poetry like a session at a library or coffee house where a speaker performances his/her literature.
